I Want an Abundant Life
Recently, I've been seeing references to Abundant Life and Abundant Living showing up in the videos I watch online. According to the scriptures, I should be enjoying an Abundant Life. I'm not convinced I am. I got curious, so I started to dig deeper. What is Abundant Life, and why am I not enjoying it automatically as a Christian?
When I accepted Christ, believed and was baptized into the faith I got His gift of Salvation and automatically received Forgiveness for my sins when I repented and asked for it. Plus, I got the bonus promise of Eternal Life with Christ. But, this Abundant Life, on this side of eternity, where do I sign up? I want two scoops!
John 10:10. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
So, like a good millennial trying to embrace technology, I asked Google, and AI shared this:
An Abundant Life is a life that is full of joy, positive experiences, and a sense of fulfillment. It is a state of being that is promised by God in the Bible.

It is a life that is lived in the midst of challenges, persecution, and suffering.

Family I want this. I want all of the aforementioned. To be clear, it's not Google that has the answers, it's the Bible that clearly makes all these promises to us. Google is a copy cat!. Lol!
I've been realising that I'm cheating myself by just waiting for eternity to fully enjoy my riches in Christ. Things going to have to change bout hey! I want that Abundant Life.
I long for a life filled with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, compassion, humility, enthusiasm, confidence, and honesty, all rooted in a relationship with God. An Abundant Life is full of those things money can’t buy, and all of them come from God, Who is the giver of all good things. I do not want to merely exist; I want to thrive in Christ and fulfil my PURPOSE!
So, you know what. I'm going to pursue it. Follow me as I follow Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1), towards an Abundant Life!
